Program of Study for the Master of Business Administration

Basic Admission Requirements: Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and a complete application to the Graduate School .

Additional Admission Requirements: Personal Statement

To be considered for admission, applicants must meet the criteria for admission to the Graduate School . Meeting this condition does not guarantee admission.

Letters of Recommendation: Three

Minimum GPA to Qualify for Regular Admission: 3.0 OR 2.5 to 2.99 cumulative GPA and exam scores in the 50th percentile

Exam Scores: GRE or GMAT

Standardized Exam Waiver Eligibility: The standardized exam requirement may be waived for applicants who have:

A cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher in your bachelor’s degree; OR
An earned master’s degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher; OR
Completed a graduate certificate with a minimum GPA of 3.3 or higher; OR
A membership in the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society; OR
A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher in your bachelor’s AND 5+ years of full-time work or military experience with one recommendation letter from a direct supervisor; OR
At least 3 semester hours of non-degree MBA coursework taken at App State with a cumulative GPA of a ‘B’ (3.0) or better

Location: Boone Campus and Online (Cybersecurity and Interdisciplinary Business concentrations only.)

Accelerated Master’s Program

This program offers an Accelerated Master’s option for undergraduate students with a 3.2 or higher currently enrolled at Appalachian State University.
