Program of Study for the Master of Arts, Curriculum Specialist


Advanced Licensure: Requirements for this degree were designed, and have been approved by the appropriate bodies at the state level, to meet the advanced competencies as mandated in the North Carolina Excellent Schools Act for Master-level teacher education programs.

Basic Admission Requirements: Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and a complete application to the Graduate School .

Additional Admission Requirements: Proof of Teaching Licensure

To be considered for admission, applicants must meet the criteria for admission to the Graduate School . Meeting this condition does not guarantee admission.

  • Product of Learning: Required. Product of Learning (POL) portfolios posted on TK20, POL presentations to faculty and school personnel, and POL grading rubrics will all remain the same. The program advisor will continue to monitor the POL progress and will take responsibility for grading the POL during the student’s final semester in the program.
