Program of Study for the Master of Arts in Mathematics
Basic Admission Requirements: Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and a complete application to the Graduate School . Additional Admission Requirements: Personal Statement To be considered for admission, applicants must meet the criteria for admission to the Graduate School . Meeting these criteria does not guarantee admission. Letters of Recommendation: Two, must be professional or academic. Exam Scores: GRE Standardized Exam Waiver Eligibility: The standardized exam requirement may be waived for applicants who meet the following conditions: - Baccalaureate degree with a major in mathematics, statistics, or mathematics education; AND
- GPA of 3.2 or higher in undergraduate mathematics and statistics courses (calculus, linear algebra, proof-writing, analysis, probability, and statistical analysis).
Location: Boone Campus and Online Accelerated Master’s Program
This program offers an Accelerated Master’s option for undergraduate students with a 3.2 or higher currently enrolled at Appalachian State University. Course Requirements for the Master of Arts in Mathematics
