Program of Study for the Master of Arts in Psychology


NOTE: Admission to the Clinical Psychology Concentration is contingent upon admission to the Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) program in Clinical Psychology. (See the Program of Study for the PsyD  for Admission details.)

To be considered for admission, applicants must meet the criteria for admission to the Graduate School . Meeting these criteria does not guarantee admission.

Other Requirements for the MA in Psychology


  • Thesis: Required for Psychological Sciences Concentration only.
  • Proficiency: Statistics proficiency met by completion of PSY 5020  
  • Candidacy: For Psychological Sciences Concentration, candidacy is granted upon approval of thesis committee and prospectus. For Clinical Concentration, candidacy is granted upon successful completion of PSY 5904  and approval of program faculty.
  • Comprehensive: Not required
  • Product of Learning: Not required
