Program of Study for the Graduate Certificate in Special Education


This certificate with the successful completion of appropriate licensure exams will allow candidates to be eligible for a NC license in Special Education: General curriculum. 

Basic Admission Requirements: Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and a complete application to the Graduate School .

Additional Admission Requirements: 

  • Personal Statement
  • Questionnaire
  • To be considered for residency licensure, you must either have 24 credits of content or have passed your Praxis II

To be considered for admission, applicants must meet the criteria for admission to the Graduate School . Meeting this condition does not guarantee admission.

Minimum GPA to Qualify for Regular Admission: 2.7
