CS 1440 - Computer Science I (4) When Offered: Fall; Spring A first programming course using an object-oriented language. Emphasis is placed on problem-solving and appropriate programming standards. Topics include: classes, objects, data types, expressions, conditional statements, loops, strings, arrays, collections, debugging, inheritance, and polymorphism. Lecture three hours, laboratory two hours. Prerequisite: MAT 1025 or equivalent with a minimum grade of “C-” (1.7) or satisfactory Calculus Readiness Test score.
