When Offered: Fall; Spring This course is REQUIRED prior to taking SOC 4900 - Internship (3-6). The course is an introduction to Applied Sociology and its various forms of community engagement with a focus on the pragmatic application of sociological theories, methodologies, and skills. Specific focus is given to the departmental requirements for the internship. Prerequisite: Requires junior standing; six semester hours in sociology, including SOC 1000.
