ARH 3650 - Art of the Mediterranean World 250-1450 (3) [WID]

GEN ED: Junior Writing in the Discipline (WID)
This course explores the changes in art production and contexts from approximately 250-1450 CE through the connecting network of the Mediterranean Sea. The course emphasizes the role played by peoples and cultures of Africa, Asia, and Europe in creating art and architecture that bridged the ancient and modern worlds. Major emphasis is placed on critical reading, writing, and discussion.
Prerequisites:  RC 2001  or its equivalent.
