ARH 3710 - Egyptian Art and Architecture (3) [WID] When Offered: On Demand GEN ED: Junior Writing in the Discipline (WID) This course examines Egyptian art and architecture from the beginnings of sustained human settlement in Africa’s Nile Valley (approximately 5000 BCE) through pharaonic, Greek, Roman, and early Christian periods, and continues through the Islamic period. Specific historical periods may vary with the instructor. Major emphasis is placed on critical reading, writing, and discussion. Prerequisites: ARH 2030 or permission of the instructor and RC 2001 or its equivalent.
