Bioinformatics is defined as the science of collecting and analyzing complex biological data. This laboratory provides an introduction to practical issues of computer-based handling and interpretation of biomolecular datasets. In addition, traditional biochemistry wet laboratories, such as protein purification, activity assays, and protein concentration determination will be completed to complement computer-based data analysis. Prerequisite: CHE 2102 or CHE 2204 (or equivalent). Prerequisite or corequisite: CHE 4100 , CHE 4580 or CHE 5580 (or equivalent).
