VTN 2070 - Large Animal Nursing (3)

This course introduces the fundamentals of preventive medicine and common diseases present in large animals. Content will also include common restraint practices, daily care, and housing needs, along with legal/ethical/welfare issues. Safety issues will be integrated throughout the course consistent with the CVTEA Statement on Safety Appendix, with an emphasis on zoonoses and occupational safety.
Prerequisite: VTN 1030  with a minimum grade of “C” (2.0). Student must be intended or declared Veterinary Technology major.  Prerequisites or corequisites: VTN 2010 , VTN 2020 .
