TEC 2029 - Society and Technology (3) [GenEd: SS]

This interdisciplinary course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the symbiotic relationship between society & technology. Examples of these relationships will be taken from contemporary societies in both industrialized and non-industrialized countries. The course will explore a wide-variety of both existing and emerging technologies. Specific emphasis is placed on utilizing technology assessment techniques in order to critically analyze the associated impacts of technology on our world, including their environmental, climate, economic, political, and social impacts.
