LIB 2010 - Shelf Help: Introduction to Bibliotherapy (3) When Offered: Fall; Spring GEN ED: Wellness Literacy Bibliotherapy is defined as the use of literature to promote emotional and mental well-being. In this course, students will explore the therapeutic potential of literature, examining how reading can serve as a tool for self-reflection, empathy, and personal growth. Through discussions, readings, and reflective exercises, students will learn how different genres, narratives, and characters can offer insights into their own experiences and struggles. This interdisciplinary course will draw from psychology, literature, and philosophy to deepen our understanding of the connection between reading and mental health and wellness.
