CDE 2111 - Multicultural Study of Child Development (3) [GenEd: SS] When Offered: Fall; Spring GEN ED: Social Sciences Designation; Intercultural Literacy This course examines the influence of social and cultural forces on child development. The purpose of the course is for students to develop a strengths-based perspective of cultural variation and its role in shaping physical, cognitive, and socioemotional development from birth to late childhood. This course will emphasize past and present research, methodology, and theoretical perspectives of culture and human development.
