HCM 4920 - Health Care Law and Ethics (3)


When Offered: Fall
This course is designed to provide students with a background in law and an introduction to ethics as applied to health care organizations and health professionals. The course will cover aspects of tort, contract, criminal, antitrust, and administrative law and civil procedure as they relate to health service organizations and health personnel. The course also explores the use of moral reasoning applied to health care concerns encountered by health care leaders, managers and clinicians.
Prerequisites: HCM 2110  and HCM 2130 , or permission of the instructor.
