ANT 2230 - Biological Anthropology (3)

Biological anthropology is the study of human and non-human primate origins, evolution, and biology within evolutionary, bio-cultural, and life history frameworks. Topics in the course may include evolutionary theory and heredity; the evolution, anatomy, lifestyles, and ecology of living and fossil primates; a bio-cultural framework for understanding human adaptability and variation; challenging the use of discrete categories to describe human variation; the history and legacies of early research in the field; and debates and theoretical frameworks at the core of emerging research.
