ANT 3640 - Linguistic Anthropology (3) When Offered: On Demand This course introduces students to linguistic anthropology-the study of language in social and cultural context. Through an exploration of how language shapes identity, constructs reality, and organizes social life, students will examine the powerful role of language in forming human relationships and cultural meaning. Emphasis is placed on understanding language not merely as a tool for communication, but as a dynamic force in the creation of social worlds. Prerequisite(s): ANT 2215 or permission of instructor
