MAT 1005 - A Brief Introduction to Mathematics (1) When Offered: Spring This course is an introduction to mathematical problem solving. Emphasis is on the development of conceptual understanding rather than on computational drill. All sections cover personal finance and dealing with data. Technology will be used to solve a variety of problems. MAT 1005 is not open to students with 4 hours of Quantitative Literacy (QL) credit. Prerequisite: junior or senior standing and 3 hours of Quantitative Literacy (QL) credit.
