PHY 3560 - Undergraduate Research (0-3)

When Offered: Fall; Spring
The student will participate in on-going faculty-directed research. This will include involvement in the solution of a theoretical problem or in experimental work such as the design of an experiment or experimental apparatus, acquisition of data, and/or data reduction and analysis. This course is required for students planning to graduate with departmental honors. For honors credit, the work must also include presentation of the results in a scholarly publication or at a professional meeting. May be repeated for a total of four credit hours. Graded on an S/U basis.
Corequisite: permission of the department chair.
