ARH 2030 - Global Art History: Prehistory -1400 (3) [GenEd: FA]

When Offered: Fall; Spring
A global survey of art that examines how ancient, premodern, and early modern people chose places for sustained settlement through interactions with natural environments and climate events and created meaning by manipulating natural materials and turning them into lasting statements. The course focuses on the skills of visual analysis of form, critical thinking of context, and knowledge of long-term climate literacy.
