MUS 2618 - Global Music Cultures (3) [GenEd: FA]

GEN ED: Fine Arts Designation; Intercultural Literacy
Through the lens of Interculturalism, this course will expose students to perspectives on sound, music, performance, and listening’s relationship to cultural exchange and identity. Focusing on case studies from local to transnational, students will study how music cultures reflect and shape processes that create global change including nationalism, colonialism, globalization, and environmental change.
