Foundations of American Democracy Requirement (3 Hours)

Foundations of American Democracy Requirement  

Three (3) credits of Foundations of American Democracy (FAD) are required for degree completion. Courses that meet this requirement may also be used to meet other major, minor, or General Education requirements.

General Education Requirements (41 Hours)

CHE 1101 /CHE 1110  & CHE 1102 /CHE 1120  fulfills Science Inquiry. MAT 1110  fulfills Quantitative Literacy requirement.

Major Requirements (67 Hours)

Not including 12 semester hours already counted in General Education, above

2.0 major GPA is required for graduation. Major GPA calculation will include all courses taken in the major discipline, plus any other courses under Major Requirements. Minimum of 18 semester hours of courses taken to fulfill major requirements must be courses offered by Appalachian.

Taken to total a minimum of 120 hours for the degree

Notes

BIO 3500 , BIO 4518 , and BIO 4900  may count in the major concentration elective section that is most relevant to the focus of the research/internship. Please contact your department chair/assistant chairperson to seek approval.
