Foundations of American Democracy Requirement  

Three (3) credits of Foundations of American Democracy (FAD) are required for degree completion. Courses that meet this requirement may also be used to meet other major, minor, or General Education requirements.

General Education Requirements (41 Hours)

The following major requirements may also count in General Education:

• MAT 1035 - Business Mathematics With Calculus (3) *
• ECO 2030 - Principles of Microeconomics (3) [GenEd: SS]
• ECO 2100 - Business and Economic Statistics I (3) *

• *Note: 4 hours of quantitative literacy count towards General Education

Major Requirements (72 Hours)

HCM GPA requirements: 2.0 cumulative GPA required for declaration, and 2.0 cumulative and 2.0 major GPA required for graduation. There are no GPA retention requirements.

NOTE:

A minimum grade of “C-” (1.7) must be earned in ECO 2030 to register for ECO/HCM 3610.

A minimum grade of “C-” (1.7) must be earned in ACC 2100 to register for ACC 2110.

Electives (7-14 Hours)

Taken to total 120 hours for the degree

* HCM 3200 - Health Management Practicum I (3)  and HCM 3210 - Health Management Practicum II (3)  may be substituted for 3 or 5 hours of HCM 3900 - Internship (1-6)  or taken as electives with permission of HCM Program Director.
