Foundations of American Democracy Requirement (3 Hours)

Foundations of American Democracy Requirement  

Three (3) credits of Foundations of American Democracy (FAD) are required for degree completion. Courses that meet this requirement may also be used to meet other major, minor, or General Education requirements.

General Education Requirements (41 Hours)

The following major requirements may also count in General Education:

• STT 1810 - Basic Statistics (3)

• or

• STT 2810 - Introduction to Statistics (3)

• or

• STT 2820 - Reasoning with Statistics (4)

• NUT 2202 - Nutrition and Health (3) (Note: 2 hours of NUT 2202 may be counted in General Education)
• P_H 2000 - Introduction to Public Health (3) [GenEd: SS]

Major Requirements (63-64 Hours)

P H GPA requirements: 2.5 cumulative GPA required for declaration, and 2.5 cumulative and 2.0 major GPA required for graduation. There are no GPA retention requirements.

P H grade requirements: All P H majors must earn a minimum grade of “C” (2.0) in all P H courses.

Minor or Guided Electives (12-18 Hours)

Guided Electives are a minimum of 15 credit hours and must be approved by a PH advisor.

Elective Hours (3-12 Hours)
