Foundations of American Democracy Requirement (3 Hours)

Foundations of American Democracy Requirement  

Three (3) credits of Foundations of American Democracy (FAD) are required for degree completion. Courses that meet this requirement may also be used to meet other major, minor, or General Education requirements.

• CHE 1101 - Introductory Chemistry I (3)
• CHE 1110 - Introductory Chemistry Laboratory I (1)
• CHE 1102 - Introductory Chemistry II (3)
• CHE 1120 - Introductory Chemistry Laboratory II (1)
• PSY 1200 - Psychological Foundations (3) [GenEd: SS]
• STT 2810 - Introduction to Statistics (3)

• or

• STT 2820 - Reasoning with Statistics (4)

Major Requirements (91-92 Hours)

NUT Dietetics GPA requirements: 2.8 cumulative GPA required for declaration, 2.8 cumulative GPA required for retention, and 2.5 cumulative and 2.0 major GPA required for graduation.

NUT Dietetics grade requirements: All NUT Dietetics majors must earn a minimum grade of “C” (2.0) in each required course in the major.

In order to remain in the concentration and earn a verification statement for supervised practice, students must: maintain a 2.8 cumulative GPA, earn a “C” (2.0) in each required course in the major, attempt required courses in the major no more than twice (1 repeat), and earn a “C” (2.0) in all ACEND-required knowledge requirements for dietitian nutritionists (KRDN) student learning objectives.
