Foundations of American Democracy Requirement (3 Hours)


Foundations of American Democracy Requirement  

Three (3) credits of Foundations of American Democracy (FAD) are required for degree completion. Courses that meet this requirement may also be used to meet other major, minor, or General Education requirements.

General Education Requirements (41 Hours)


CHE 1101 , CHE 1110 , CHE 1102 , CHE 1120 , FER 1000 FER 2200 ECO 2030 , and MAT / STT requirement (4 hours) will fulfill General Education requirements.

Major Requirements (64-68 Hours)


Not including 21 hours already counted in General Education Requirements, above

2.0 major GPA is required for graduation. Major GPA calculation will include all courses taken in the major discipline, plus any other courses under Major Requirements. Minimum of 18 semester hours of courses taken to fulfill major requirements must be courses offered by Appalachian.

Mathematics and Economics (9-11 Hours)


Minor (optional)


Students are encouraged to pursue a minor in one of the following areas: Chemistry, Biology, Marketing, or Entrepreneurship.
