Foundations of American Democracy Requirement
Foundations of American Democracy Requirement Three (3) credits of Foundations of American Democracy (FAD) are required for degree completion. Courses that meet this requirement may also be used to meet other major, minor, or General Education requirements. General Education Curriculum (41 Hours) CHE 1101/1110 and 1102/1120 fulfills the Science Inquiry. MAT 1110 fulfills the Quantitative Literacy requirement. Major Requirements (61-65 Hours)
Not including 12 hours counted in General Education Curriculum, above. 2.0 major GPA is required for graduation. Major GPA calculation will include all courses taken in the major department, plus any other courses under Major Requirements. Minimum of 18 semester hours of courses taken to fulfill major requirements must be courses offered by Appalachian. Geology (40 Hours)
Note: If a course is chosen in one part of the program of study, it may not be used elsewhere in the program of study. Geology Capstone (1-3 Hours)
(Prerequisite: Senior Standing) Mathematics/Chemistry/Physics (26 Hours)
