Categories and Designations

Category Requirements: Complete 18 credit hours from three Categories: Sustainability and Climate Literacy (SCL), Intercultural Literacy (ICL), and Humanity and Its Systems (HUM). At least 3 credit hours must be taken from each Category, and the remaining 9 credit hours can be from any of the three categories.

    

  

   

Designation Requirements: Within these 18 credit hours, you must complete 3 credit hours from each of the following Designations: Fine Arts (FA), Historical Studies (HS), Literary Studies (LS), and Social Science (SS).

   

   

    

   

 

Additional Notes: All courses are 3 credit hours unless otherwise noted. Courses can count towards both a Category and a Designation. Even if a course doesn’t have a Designation, it will still count towards the Category requirement.
