Foundations of American Democracy Requirement (3 Hours)
Foundations of American Democracy Requirement
Three (3) credits of Foundations of American Democracy (FAD) are required for degree completion. Courses that meet this requirement may also be used to meet other major, minor, or General Education requirements.
Major Requirements (51 Hours)
NOTE: This major is only available to transfer students who have completed an associate in applied science (AAS) degree in a health related field from a regionally accredited North Carolina Community College.
HS GPA requirements: 2.0 cumulative GPA required for declaration, and 2.0 cumulative and 2.0 major GPA required for graduation. There are no GPA retention requirements.
Note: 18 hours in the major must be earned at Appalachian State, with at least 15 hours of courses at the 3000-level or above.
Elective Hours (28-37 Hours)
Any Allied Health Core hours transferred in above the 30 credits will count in this section as needed. Required elective hours will vary depending on the number of General Education courses that count in the major, and any additional courses required in the major to earn 18 hours at Appalachian State and 15 hours at the 3000-level or above in the major.
