TEC 3605 - Sustainable Waste and Resource Management (3)

This interdisciplinary course will introduce students to the concepts of life cycle thinking, assessments and design, material efficiency strategies, issues around solid waste production and disposal, landfills and waste incineration technologies, recycling, composting, and other sustainable organic waste treatment methods. A range of resource management philosophies, technologies and techniques will be discussed and analyzed, as well as the associated environmental and climate-related impacts.
Prerequisite: TEC 2029.
