You must also meet the Fine Arts, Literary Studies, Historical Studies, and the Social Science Designations. Those may be met within the Integrative Learning Experience and the Liberal Studies Experience.

Additional Notes


  • NUT Dietetics GPA requirements: 2.8 cumulative GPA required for declaration, 2.8 cumulative GPA required for retention, and 2.5 cumulative GPA required for graduation. The Beaver College of Health Sciences requires a minimum 2.0 major GPA for graduation.
  • NUT Dietetics grade requirements: All NUT Dietetics majors must earn a minimum grade of “C” (2.0) in each required course in the major.
  • In order to remain in the concentration and earn a verification statement for supervised practice, students must: maintain a 2.8 cumulative GPA, earn a “C” (2.0) in each required course in the major, attempt required courses in the major no more than twice (1 repeat), and earn a “C” (2.0) in all ACEND-required knowledge requirements for dietitian nutritionists (KRDN) student learning objectives. Please see the Student Handbook for more information regarding retention guidelines/policies.
  • Refer to program of study for details regarding verification statement requirements to progress into a dietetic internship
  • 18 s.h. in major and 9 s.h. in minor must be at ASU.
  • 50 s.h. must be earned from a Senior Institution and 25% of the degree hours must be in residency at ASU.
  • As stated in the catalog, the final responsibility for meeting graduation requirements remains with the student
