Foundations of American Democracy Requirement (3 Hours)
Foundations of American Democracy Requirement Three (3) credits of Foundations of American Democracy (FAD) are required for degree completion. Courses that meet this requirement may also be used to meet other major, minor, or General Education requirements. Major Requirements (48 Hours)
An overall 2.0 GPA is required in the major. 18 semester hours must be completed at Appalachian. 18 semester hours must be taken at the 3000 level or higher. - Junior Writing in the Discipline
- Senior Capstone Experience
Core Courses (6 Hours)
A 2.0 GPA is required in the core courses Public and Professional Contexts (18 Hours)
At least two courses (6 hours) must be selected from each context Capstone Course (3 Hours)
Minor Required (12-25 Hours)
- 9 hours of a minor must be completed at Appalachian
Electives (6-28 Hours)
