Foundations of American Democracy Requirement (3 Hours)
Foundations of American Democracy Requirement Three (3) credits of Foundations of American Democracy (FAD) are required for degree completion. Courses that meet this requirement may also be used to meet other major, minor, or General Education requirements. General Education Requirements (41 Hours)
COM 2103 or COM 2105 , and COM 3300 if taken for the major may count toward General Education. Major Requirements (48 Hours)
An overall 2.0 GPA is required in the major. 18 semester hours must be completed at Appalachian. - Junior Writing in the Discipline (WID)
- Senior Capstone Experience (CAP) must be met
Core Courses (6 Hours)
A 2.0 GPA is required in the core courses Specializations (9 Hours)
Choose from one of the following Electronic Media Journalism (9 sh)
Electronic Media Production (9 sh)
Minor Required (12-25 Hours)
- 9 hours of a minor must be completed at Appalachian
Electives (9-25 Hours)
