Foundations of American Democracy Requirement (3 Hours)
Foundations of American Democracy Requirement Three (3) credits of Foundations of American Democracy (FAD) are required for degree completion. Courses that meet this requirement may also be used to meet other major, minor, or General Education requirements. General Education Requirements (41 Hours) Fifteen hours of major requirements fulfill General Education requirements: Elective courses in the major may fulfill up to an additional six hours of General Education requirements: Major Requirements (93 hours)
18 semester hours must be completed at Appalachian. A laptop computer is required. A 2.5 cumulative GPA is required for admission into courses from the Intermediate Coursework Sequence. - Junior Writing in the Discipline (WID) and
- Senior Capstone Experience (CAP) must be met
Foundation Coursework (15 Hours)
Minimum grade of “B” (3.0) in MAT 1020 or higher and “C” (2.0) in all other listed courses is required. Introductory Coursework (12 Hours)
Minimum grade of “C” (2.0) in each course is required Intermediate Coursework Sequence (9 Hours)
Admission to Intermediate Coursework Sequence (or permission of the Building Sciences Program Director) required for all courses. Minimum grade of “C” (2.0) in each course is required. Advanced Coursework (24 Hours)
Minimum grade of “C” in each course is required Major Electives (24 Hours)
Interdisciplinary Coursework (9 Hours)
Minimum grade of “C” (2.0) in each course is required Minor Not Required
Recommended minors are General Business, Community and Regional Planning, or Sustainable Technology Free Electives (1-7 Hours)
